Eisley is a rock band from Tyler, Texas, consisting of four brothers (Chauntelle, Sherri, Stacy, Weston and Dupree) and their cousin (Garron Dupree), all of whom were born and live in Texas. Although the group's name translates into an ice island in several Germanic languages, was actually chosen by fans due to its link with the Star Wars saga (ie, Mos Eisley).
The band was formed in 1997 when Sherri Chauntelle and began creating music together after being inspired by bands like the Beatles, Jeremy Enigk, and Radiohead. Stacy's younger sister (who was 8 years old) has become frustrated by his insistence that she was too young to be part of the band and wrote his own song without their help before being admitted. His brother (then age 10) Weston soon joined the band as drummer. Jonathan Wilson, a family friend, was asked to play bass.
